Getting started
We'll build your shop for you
2 minute read
If setting up your shop feels like too big of a project, you don't have to do it. Reply to any email from Sara, or write to hello@broidry.com, with photos of your work and your prices, and we build your shop for you. It's free, and nothing goes live until you've looked it over and clicked one button.
If you were with Broidry when this offer went out in the weekly letter on August 25, 2026, it's yours with no deadline — send your things whenever you're ready. If you joined after that, the offer covers your first two weeks: send your photos, or a link to wherever you already sell, within two weeks of signing up. After that, the guides here walk you through setting up yourself, and you can ask us anything along the way.
What to send
Anything works, truly. Phone photos of finished pieces, a screenshot of your Etsy shop, pictures from your Facebook page, even a photo of a handwritten price list. If you have words you already use to describe your business, send those too, and we'll use them instead of writing our own.
How to send it all
If you already sell somewhere, the easiest thing by far is to send the link instead of any files at all. Your Etsy shop, your website, your Facebook page, your Instagram. We build from what's public there, we don't need a thing from your phone, and nothing about that shop changes.
If your photos only live on your phone or computer, put them in a shared folder and send the link. Google Drive, Dropbox, and iCloud all do this, and WeTransfer works if you'd rather not sign in anywhere. There's no limit on how many, and they reach us at full quality.
Zipping them and attaching them to an email is fine for a small batch, and it runs out of room sooner than most people expect. Email refuses anything over about 25 MB, and zipping photos barely shrinks them, so six or seven phone photos is usually the most that will go through. Past that, the email will bounce or your photos will arrive shrunk down. Use the shared folder instead and nothing gets lost.
Prices can come however you already have them: typed into the email, a screenshot, or a photo of a handwritten list. If you know which photos go with which item, tell us however is easiest, even "the first four are tumblers." If you don't, we'll work it out and you can fix anything you like at the review step.
What we can cover
- 1Your products, set up from your photos: names, descriptions, prices, and the photos themselves attached, with the first one as each product's cover.
- 2Your prices, exactly as you sent them. If we couldn't find a price for something, we suggest one and mark it in yellow so you know to change it to what you actually charge.
- 3Your shop page's welcome and about text, written from what you sent. If you already wrote your own, we never overwrite your words.
- 4If you already sell on Etsy or another platform, we can build from what's publicly on your shop there, and nothing about your existing shop changes.
What happens next
Everything we build sits in your account as hidden drafts. You'll see a card on your Today page that says your shop is built. Look everything over, change anything you want in the normal editor, and one click puts it live. If your shop doesn't have a way to take payment yet, going live walks you straight into setting that up.
The ground rules that protect you and us
Everything you send has to be yours to use: your photos, your designs, and your words. Sending them to us counts the same as uploading them to your shop yourself, so Broidry's Terms of Service apply to all of it, including the promise that you have the rights to what ends up in your shop.
If a photo shows licensed characters or trademarked logos, think Disney or a sports team's mark, we leave that item out of the build and tell you why. Listing it would put your shop at risk, and we won't do that to you.
You review and approve everything before it goes live, so the final say is always yours. If we set something up wrong, a price, a description, anything at all, the review step is where you catch it, and you can change it yourself or reply and we'll fix it for you.
